The purveyor of fine tunes Roy Ayers is presented here with two top tunes for your ears.
The first is one that you may know from the 'Summer of Sam' soundtrack and it is called 'Running Away'.
This, along with Marvin Gaye's 'Got To Give It Up' , are two of my top tunes from the whole disco era. These are classic floor fillers that in reality transend any label.... besides classic!
Tune #2 is a remix from the excellent BBE Ubiquity compilation of Roy Ayer's remixes. Unfortunately I can't find the album on the Ubiquity site to purchase the comp.
This track, 'Touch of Class' is given a remarkable remix by Matthew Herbet. With a mix that is so complimentary and respectful to some of the fundamentals of Roy Ayer's musical messages Matthew Herbert delivers a future funk wonder to your headphones.
