got this track a good few months back. Can't remember from where but I
recently came across it an realised that I hadn't really listened to
it. This weekend I was putting the finishing touches to a mix CD for
one of my best friends, P., and wanted a closing track. This is it.
A
beautifully crafted tune, with amazing piano loops, classical
composition a kickin' beat and a short but sweet lyrical break towards
the end that will have your heart melting.
La Ritournelle, was originally released in 2004 in Europe, and was then re-issued one year later, due to strong popular demand, by Record Makers. The tune has an amazing array of talent such as The Bulgarian Symphony Orchestra, filmmaker / producer Quentin Dupieux (aka Mr. Oizo), legendary producer/mixer Philippe Zdar (of Cassius fame) with the original funky drummer, Tony Allen.
Sebastien Tellier also delivered 'Fantino' to us. You may know the haunting track from the soundtrack of Sofia Coppola's Lost in Translation.
