Update: Great Flyer Alert.
My mate Doug over at AustinSound is celecbrating his first year with the Austin Sound Off Festival on Labor Day weekend.
A little about Austin Sound:
Austin Sound is dedicated to covering Austin's music scene with in-depth news, reviews, features and upcoming show information.
And about the Austin Sound Off Festival:
Our humble endeavor to document Austin’s music scene, Austin Sound is celebrating with a huge party on Saturday, September 1 at the Scoot Inn. With help from some of our favorite local bands and bloggers, the inaugural event will offer a full day of music, food, drinking and dancing, the perfect way to close out summer and mark our one year anniversary. Among the bands on tap to perform are Golden Bear, Peel, Brazos, The Black, Leatherbag, Black Before Red, Transmography, The Narrow Escapes, Tullie and many more to be announced soon! In addition to the amazing live lineup spread across two stages, local bloggers from Covert Curiosity, Party Ends, Side One: Track One, Cubik Musik, and Austinist music editor Paige Maguire will be DJing between bands, serving up sets of their favorite tunes. It’s the perfect way to kick off your Labor Day Weekend!
The party will be getting started at 3:00pm, with ...(ahem) a DJ set by ...(cough, cough)...CubikArubik. I'll be playing some special summer sounds that are near and dear to me so check me out between 3pm-5pm.
It'll be a top night with tons of great music for all kinds of tastes. A bargain for $5.
See y'all there.
