bay slap
this past weekend I got (delightfully) exposed to some excellent hip-hop aptly slanged as bay slap; heavy on the slow roll of bass, west coast party crunk that is far more appealing to me than its southern cousin as its rapping is more complex, structured and well, more thought through shall we say. ;)
coming at you from z-man and dnae beats this is a tune from machete vox records out of San Francisco on their upcoming sampler (find out more here).
this goes out to a friend celebrating some hella birthday tonight way back on the west coast. i know it'll be a top night filled with good food, wine, laughter, bass and dancing.
big up!

Hey Craig, I think you have the wrong idea, this site does not have nothing to do with slap bass, but now you have mentioned it, I play slap bass, really hard though.

Slap bass is not hard as hard as some people may think. You just have to keep with it and you will get it. Flea and Victor Wooten are exellent bassists for slap bass.
