I had only heard one or two tunes by Notorious B.I.G. up to a few years ago. Then I moved to the USofA and got to learn about more stuff that he did.
This is about 10 years old now and it is still (and always will be) a classic hip-hop track.
Slow and groovy with a deep bassline (don't most of the songs from me have a funky deep bassline ? :-).
Biggie spits out his magical rap with some of the best lines that we are ever likely to hear. With 'backing' vocals by Lil' Kim sounding so sultry, "Biggie biggie biggie can’t you see
Sometimes your words just hypnotize me" and Puffy/Diddy/P.Diddy/Sean/Whatever we are drawn into the world of the Notorious B.I.G., his posse and associated groupies.
By the way, I am awaiting delivery of my DJ Cappel & Smitty album of Notorious B.I.G. expertly mixed with Frank Sinatra. Hopefully later nex week I'll get some of it up here.
