A week has gone by and Bagpak Music returns with some more fine tunes to sample and choose from. Check out these great tracks and some Bagpak recommendations below them.
Artist: Freddie Cruger
Tune: Anglar
The third of Swedish Brandy’s releases was the eagerly awaited Movin’ amongst madness EP produced by the legendary Freddie Cruger aka Red Astaire on GAMM. This Stockholm based label has been busy producing a sublime combination of Soul, Hip Hop, Breaks and Jazz. Deep. Soulful grooves is the flavor of this four track EP.
Artist: Mr. Chop
Tune: Snob
Another fine tune from the Jazz & Milk EP as recommended last week.
Artist: Rob Symeonn
Tune: Cold Outside
Rob Symeonn, the spark igniter & righteous rastaman blends poignant lyrics live instrumentation and comely vocals that are sure to satisfy cold and hungry souls. Produced by Ticklah, "Cold Outside" and "Rise" are uplifting roots riddims that consciously meditate on poverty and faith.
Artist: Rodney Hunter
Tune: Take a Ride
Rodney Hunter is no newcomer, and this album will no doubt reinforce your belief in the tried and trusted methods of real musicians and producers who have learnt their trade the real and sometimes hard way.
After being asked in the fall of 2001 by Mr’s Kruder and Dorfmeister to produce and release an album for G-Stone recordings, Rodney set about the task of expressing the sounds and stories of his musical upbringing. The properties acquired during a person's formative years are most recognisable through music, and the Hunterfiles has the funk, the groove, the soul and the chilled that have encouraged and promoted the growth and development of music boy into music man.
Two years in the making and with guest appearances from outstanding talents such as Hubert Tubbs, Ken Cesar, Farda P, Hunterfiles is a worthy excursion into the new sounds of Vienna and beyond.
