Two great dancehall tunes for you this evening. I just love dancehall-its so innovative with mutli layered beats in the riddims, poetic lyrics, melodies that swirl around your head and of course the sexiness of the movement behind it is good too. ;-)
I usually try and avoid posted songs posted elsewhere recently but I
reckon that this is worth it as it may have been missed by many as the
first tune is from the excellent post over on musiclikedirt with their excellent top 101 songs of 2006. That is 'Spice' with 'Pinchers' and the song 'Rude Boy Love' (#23) and the second is from the amazing collection called King Jammy's-Selector Choice series and its 'Lovers Question' by Leroy Gibbons. You will be seeing more tunes from this series also.
Artist: Spice
Tune: Rude Boy Love (feat. Pinchers)
A massive tune on the stage show riddim and stage show it is. This tune just drives you along and builds you up with some great steel drums and cleverly produced sounds effects that lift you off your chair and get you moving around .

Artist: Leroy Gibbons
Tune: Lovers Question
A great dancehall tune with the low and mellow heavenless riddim with an amazing rocksteady style song laid over it.
Beautiful.

Thanks for the mail, and kind comments... it is a tune and a half isn't it! There are 3 other versions on the Stage Show riddim on the release, one of which is as good as the Spice one.
Your blog looks excellent, and will be added to my already overflowing list of favourites. The Leroy Gibbons track sounds good too. Will have to download when I get home.
Cheers
