this is a bday mix for the wonderful 'Sneaky Little Ninja Panda' that is Orsii who I met over on twitter. we realized our birthdays were 3 days apart and while chatting we create a 'challenge' for each other to create a bday mix for the other person. the criteria for Orsii was to have 35 songs (my age) from any year and for me was to create a mix covering the years from 1974 (my year of birth) to 2009 (year I turned 35). And so, here is my attempt. This isn't a definitive pick of the best songs from each year or a mix of the sounds I love from each year as I have made every attempt to create a mix that covers some of the amazing music that we have had over those years that would/might appeal to Orsii as she continues to explore and quench her thirst for more quality music.
I do hope that Orsii enjoys this mix and that you too enjoy the musical journey that spans the years I've had the pleasure to be on this fine place. I've enjoyed putting this together and plan to add one tune to the mix every year as I grow older...and older...and older. :)
