I love dancehall. absolutely love it. the rolling basslines. the lyrics that are so sincere whether covering everything from love (lost and found) to drug use/abuse, sex, partying, etc. all in all I am totally in love with all jamaican music from the 50's where the sound systems were set up to play US rock and roll, swing, r&b and then to the sounds were then evolved.
this mix attempts to cover just some of the tunes that have always grabbed me more than others from the dancehall sound. ideally you have a great sound system to lay these out on but it can work on headphones or just on your computer. the bassline lays the foundation for all percussion and melodies that work their over them and get you moving. njoy.
